Pacing Recovery Effectively Program

The Pacing Recovery Effectively Program is specifically designed to treat adults with co-occurring chemical dependence and cognitive impairment – traumatic brain injury, developmental disabilities, mild head trauma (combat blasts, sports injuries, etc.) and the residual effects of chronic chemical abuse.  Zumbro Valley Mental Health Center staff collaborates with a variety of organizations to ensure client access to appropriate services.

This 15-week program employs an individual treatment plan for each client.  Treatment focuses on utilizing visual and auditory aids to help participants understand the damaging impact that alcohol and other chemicals have in relation to cognitive disabilities.
